Well, they speciality dish which cost me a whole £6 is shown to the left, can you guess what it is? I'm not actually going to tell you what it is but what I will do is go to the market and get a picture of one still running around and you can draw your own conclusions!

Anyway that is what I did on Wednesday night followed by a bar/disco called Ukukus Bar which had live Peruvian Rock music from 11pm followed by a high quality disco (not quite Ladies Night in the Happy) we amused ourselves by playing guess the nationality of the various groups of tourists. We managed 1 out of 3 so I think we need practice. I had afternoon lessons so I thought that I would be able to get a bit of a lie in. Unfortunately my room is too close to the kitchen for this to be possible and I was eating breakfast by 8am. Luckily I hadn't had too much high quality Peruvian beer.
Managed to meet up with a friend of Nigels on Friday so went out with her to a bar called Los Perros (I approve of your choice Jen & Neil) followed again by Ukukus where I met all my friends for more quality dancing under the influence of alcohol. Unfortunately my theory that I could sleep through the noise in my house the following morning was thwarted and once again I was eating breakfast far too early. Did manage a few hours awake aswell before it all got the better of me and I ended up sleeping most of the afternoon. (parents - don't even think about being disapproving).
Oh yes forgot to mention that earlier in the day I went shopping in the market which is huge and is basically stalls lining loads of streets. All I managed to buy was a CD for £1 but I need to return for trainers (£6) as a very helpful taxi driver managed to destroy my shoes by running over my foot - don't worry I was wearing shoes with big soles and although apparently it looked like my whole foot was crushed all he did was squash my shoe - I did have a little bruise though for my efforts although I think that was from when he reversed back over my foot! Everyone nearby was very concerned and shouted at him for me (amazingly it wasn't my fault I don't think!)
That's it for now. On Sunday I went to Urubamba for a week but I'll do that separately as there are loads of pictures and things to write.
